Mentees

Why sign up to be a mentee?

You should sign up to be a mentee if you're a student in 1st and 2nd year who are interested in/looking for XYZ. Mentees will be connected with some of the best & brightest upper year students in IPPSSA, who will be able to answer their questions about XYZ, show them around campus, help them with social integration and offer advice on academics and careers.

What are the expectations of a mentee?

Mentees will be expected to stay in touch with their mentor for the duration of the program and attend mandatory mentorship events in September and December, along with their mentor.

Mentors

Why sign up to be a mentor?

You should sign up to become a mentor if you're a student in 3rd year or above who is (idk like responsible for something? passionate about building community? looking to share advice you've learned? involved in campus? ask Finesse). Mentors gain XYZ (e.g. professional experience for resume, transferable skills, volunteer hours, idk).

What are the responsibilities of a mentor?

Mentors will be expected to (e.g. reach out to their mentee at least twice a month, attend two mandatory mentorship events in September and December, and provide guidance and advice to their mentee.). Mentors will not be responsible for mental health support, tutoring or career counselling.
